Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.

No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.

For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has called the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, God has called the weak things of the world to put to shame the things that are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things that are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence.
